Description
• Act as the principal inside contact for all customers
• Receive and manage customer orders via telephone, fax and Internet
• Enter data for new orders, make changes to existing orders and complete required order acknowledgement and customer correspondence in order entry system
• Proactively investigate customer needs and anticipate order activity. Research customer inquiries regarding product availability, shipment, quantity, delivery and lead-time
• Coordinate efforts between sales, engineering, manufacturing and shipping to fulfill customer requests in a timely manner
• Manage complex orders and stop problems before they affect the customer
• Identify leads and opportunities to sell additional products to the customer
• Coordinate efforts to cross-train others in your responsibilities
• Provide international and domestic freight quotations to customers
• Manage special projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree or two years of college and 3 plus years of experience as a Customer Service Representative
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, anticipating potential road blocks and recognizing trends
• Ability to prioritize and stay on task
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and follow through on work assigned
• Must have demonstrated organizational skills and data entry accuracy
